Analisis Kemampuan Dekomposisi Computational Thinking Siswa Pada Materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel

Kemampuan Computational Thinking (CT) adalah kemampuan penting abad ke-21 yang harus dimiliki oleh semua orang karena diprediksi akan menjadi keterampilan dasar layaknya membaca dan menulis. Kemampuan ini diyakini mampu mengantarkan generasi masa depan untuk dapat berhasil, baik dalam karier maupun kehidupan pribadinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji lebih dalam mengenai kemampuan dekomposisi yang menjadi akar sekaligus kekuatan dari CT, dengan fokus pada kerangka Cognitive Computational Thinking. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII SMP Negeri yang ada di Kabupaten Sukabumi dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 35 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis, wawancara siswa dan guru. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis data kualitatif yang meliputi tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi, serta kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan dekomposisi CT siswa masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan karena siswa belum pernah diberikan soal-soal berbasis CT dan guru juga belum familiar dengan kemampuan penting ini sehingga belum pernah menerapkannya pada pembelajaran di kelas.
