Motivating Language Theory dalam Membangun Citra Kepemimpinan Perempuan Yogyakarta

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis strategi komunikasi seorang ketua organisasi Ikatan Duta Bahasa DIY periode 2023-2025 dalam membangun citra kepemimpinan perempuan melalui tiga dimensi Motivating Language Theory (MLT) serta kontribusinya terhadap efektivitas organisasi. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang melibatkan satu pemimpin perempuan sebagai subjek utama dan empat anggota sebagai informan pendukung. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi sebagai bentuk triangulasi. Analisis dan penyajian hasil dilakukan secara terpisah berdasarkan tiga dimensi utama MLT, yaitu direction-giving language (bahasa pengarahan), empathetic language (bahasa empati), dan meaning-making language (bahasa pencipta makna). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa direction-giving language digunakan untuk memberikan kejelasan tugas, pembagian peran, serta koordinasi kerja tanpa bersifat otoriter. Empathetic language berperan dalam membangun hubungan interpersonal yang empatik serta memperkuat dukungan emosional. Sementara itu, meaning-making language menanamkan nilai dan makna organisasi, serta meningkatkan keterikatan anggota terhadap tujuan bersama. Integrasi ketiga dimensi tersebut membentuk citra kepemimpinan perempuan yang komunikatif, humanis, dan bermakna.
